Summary

Our client, a local plumber, was struggling to generate new business online. He is a small local business, providing a range of plumbing services to residential and commercial clients in his geographical area. He has a reputation for providing a reputable and reliable service, yet he cannot gain traction online, reaching the right local audience, driving organic traffic to his website, and generating leads. His prices are fair, yet his competition in the area is fierce, faced with numerous large national plumbing companies with large digital marketing budgets.

The Brief

The client was referred to Genie Crawl through one of our happy clients. He was worried that the larger businesses were going to take over completely and he was on the verge of losing his business. During our initial consultation, we discussed his concerns, goals, and expectations in detail, recommending a customised local SEO strategy, focusing on helping him improve his online visibility, reaching his audience, and driving organic traffic to his site. As he was only getting approximately 55 visitors a month, it wasn't enough to sustain his business. We conducted a free evaluation and furnished him with an accurate quote.

Our Approach

Our approach was simple, focusing on Local SEO. This started by claiming and optimising his Google Business Profile, optimising it to ensure it is complete and accurate, complete with detailed descriptions on the services offered. We optimised using location-specific keywords throughout all his website content, meta titles, meta descriptions, and text, along with building local citations on Yelp, and Yellow Pages. The next step was to encourage reviews on the Google Business Profile, to improve credibility and trust with his audience. Taking into account that the majority of local searches are carried out on mobile devices, we ensured his website was responsive, adjusting seamlessly to any device and screen size. We now create blogs and articles for this client, focusing on topics relevant to the plumbing industry, incorporating local keywords to boost visibility.

The Result

Over the last couple of months, we have seen a significant improvement in our clients ranking in Google Maps. The local citations, location keywords, and Google Business Profile helped our clients appear in Google Map result for key phrases, such as “plumber near me.” As a result, his website traffic has more than doubled, which has increased his lead generation and conversions. Online visibility has improved significantly with enhanced brand awareness through quality and relevant content.
