Where is The SEO Title in Wordpress?
Many experts believe the SEO title in Wordpress is one of the most important elements of their search engine optimisation strategy. As a website owner, you may not know how to change or optimise your titles to achieve SEO success.
Before we dig deeper into adding or changing your SEO title in Wordpress, you need to know what it is. Your SEO title is what is shown in search engine results pages (SERPs). It refers to the title tag, or HTML element of your web page. It is an essential ranking factor that Google uses to determine what your content is about and where to show it in results.
There is a difference between the SEO title and Page Title. Your page title is for visitors on your website, while the SEO title is for those who are searching online and haven't visited your website yet.
So to put it simply, your post or page’s title is for people who are already visiting your website, and the SEO title is for people who are meant to visit your site.

In order to create or change your SEO title in Wordpress, you need to know where it is located. You will find it at the top of the page or post editor in Wordpress. Within the HTML code, you find the <head> section. This is located between the <title> and </title> tags. Wordpress generate their pages in a way that it is not easy to change the SEO title, unless you download and install a plugin.
Wordpress has a good SEO plugin, called AIOSEO, that enables you to change the SEO title to incorporate your chosen keywords and phrases. AIOSEO stands for “All In One SEO.” It is an advanced SEO tool that helps you optimise your pages for SEO, driving quality traffic to your website.
This tool provides you with more than optimising your SEO title in Wordpress, it also offers SEO audit check lists, Local SEO, Smart XML sitemaps, user roles, and more.
Once you have the SEO plugin installed, you can head to Search Appearance, selecting the Global Settings tab.
After installing and activating the AIOSEO plugin, you navigate to Search Appearance in the All in One SEO menu and click on the Global Settings tab. Head down to the Home Page section. You will be shown a preview of how that page looks in SERPs.
In order to change the title, you click on one of the mart tags in the Site title field, this enables you to add your own unique SEO title, or you can choose a number of different variations using the drop down menu.
In order to optimise your SEO title in individual pages and posts, you need to use the same plugin tool, using AIOSEO settings in the page or post that you want to edit. The same as changing your homepage SEO title, you can choose a prepared variant, or type your own.
Remember, the SEO title you select will be used by Google and the other search engines when indexing and ranking your website. Include your keyword or phrase naturally in your title to attract visitors, driving quality traffic to your website.
